To enhance ICD-10 implementation readiness, CMS is holding several in-person ICD-10 training sessions in upcoming weeks in July for small practices.

Dozens of nationwide trainings conducted thus far in Arizona and Nebraska have aimed to successfully enhance healthcare providers’ ICD-10 readiness.

Upcoming education sessions – in collaboration with the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), and the Professional Association of Health Care Office Management (PAHCOM) – will present strategies and resources for physicians and practice managers across the healthcare industry.

Next week’s additional sessions held from July 13-17 in various parts of Alaska cover a variety of topics, including:

  • business impacts of ICD-10
  • interactive practice clinical scenarios
  • customizable action plan
  • resources
  • measuring success

Only 84 days remain until ICD-10 implementation becomes a reality. Get ready, get set, prepare!
